Building stronger relationships together

At pladis we consider all our employees to be members of our family. Our human resources team is vital to making sure that everyone in the family is happy and thriving, fostering the inclusive, thoughtful environment that’s so important to us.

As part of our HR team, you’ll help design, deliver and implement employee plans and strategies that are consistent with our values and priorities. You could find yourself carrying out an HR Business Partner role at one of our manufacturing sites or in the Global HQ, be part of our Centre of Excellence team focused on developing strategies for talent, reward, resourcing or learning and development, or be a member of our UK HR Service Centre team providing administrative support to all our employees from our service centre in Liverpool.

pladis is named after a constellation of stars and we’re looking for HR people with star quality. We want people who are driven, passionate, energetic and keen to develop.

If this sounds like you, take a look at our current job opportunities.

Heather, HR Director - Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa

I originally joined the business as an HR Advisor at one of our manufacturing sites as part of the site leadership team. I spent time at our HQ on the UK Commercial team and then worked with the Asda sales team before moving to the international business unit, dealing with the complexity and challenges of HR outside the UK including the Saudi acquisition and our investment in Nigeria.

Following the creation of pladis, I became the HR lead for Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa.

What makes pladis a great place to work is the variety of opportunities to broaden your expertise and business acumen, and the company’s level of ambition. It’s an incredibly fast-changing environment, which keeps me energised.

Working at pladis has presented me with huge challenges – most notably during my time in sales, which was a huge learning curve, and my work on the Saudi acquisition in 2013, which involved dealing with a very different culture and a changing employment legislative framework. Although these projects pushed me out of my comfort zone, pladis always gave me the support I needed to meet those challenges.
