What we offer

We offer two types of placement:

  • Summer placements which last 12 weeks,  coinciding with university vacations
  • 12 month industrial placements

We advertise our placement opportunities throughout the year so if there is nothing suitable available at the moment please check back at a later date.

What we look for

You’ve set your sights high, and so have we!

To be considered for both our summer placements and industrial placements you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must either be studying for a degree or have completed your degree within the last 12 months.
  • You must have a strong academic background, with a minimum predicted grade of a 2:1 (60% or international equivalent) and a minimum 240 UCAS points.
  • You must be able to demonstrate teamwork, drive for results and leadership potential.
  • You must be able to communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
  • You must have the right to live and work in the UK for at least the next 12 months.

To succeed at pladis you have to be passionate, determined, ambitious and a fast learner.  You’ll have the communication skills to excite and inspire others and have strong problem-solving skills to recognise better and more efficient ways of working. The ability to work individually is as important as being able to work as part of a team. Above all, you’ll embrace our values and understand our ambition to bring happiness with every bite.

Your development

Alongside the training and support we’ll give you in your day-to-day role, we invite everyone on our industrial placements to complete several developmental modules. These include:

  • A corporate induction
  • Understanding the pladis supply chain
  • Presentation skills

Our  industrial placement students will be required to complete a business project which will be presented at the end of the placement.

Placement Opportunities

To obtain a place on our 12-month placement programme, you must successfully complete all three stages of the application process. The application process is designed to be simple but thorough so we can be sure we identify the candidates who most closely meet our requirements and provide the right ‘fit’ for pladis.

The three stages of the application process are as follows:

  1. Online application form – reviewed against the pladis values and competencies
  2. Numerical and inductive SHL test
  3. Face-to-face interview or assessment centre
