Cassie, Head of Convenience

I have been with pladis for almost 7 years, spending a large part of my career managing some of the biggest customers for pladis; ASDA and Sainsbury’s. I have since worked within a cross-functional business unit, which allowed me to understand more fully the moving parts of a large FMCG business. I am now 5 months into my current role heading up the Convenience channel. Working in five roles in seven years, pladis has given me great career progression, and variety in bucket loads.

My biggest achievement would be working on the launch of the Flipz brand, which has been a huge success after its first year in market. I worked as part of an internal project team and with ASDA to launch the brand, worked with other Account teams on its roll-out, and then helped work up the ongoing innovation pipeline – it was great to be involved all the way through the process.

For me, what makes pladis different to other companies that I have worked at before is the people. Everybody is so willing to help and support you both in your role and with your career progression, and you are encouraged to be you and develop your own style and be autonomous in your role. You are also encouraged to move into roles that will give you a different experience; I have definitely been someone who has benefitted from this and feel more rounded as a result.
