I graduated from The University of Edinburgh with a degree in Chemical Engineering with Management (BEng with Honours) and joined the supply chain graduate scheme.

What attracted you to join us?

I always wanted to work in the manufacturing industry, and the idea of being able to see a product I contributed to on the shelves in supermarkets was exciting. I was first attracted to joining pladis since it has many familiar brands within the UK, yet is a relatively new organisation.

What key skills do you need most in your role?

Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential in my role. I work alongside a variety of people from all stages within the organisation. Good time management and organisation are also important to ensure that projects of all sizes are delivered on time.

Do you have any advice for students looking for grad schemes?

It’s important to understand the culture of each organisation and the type of people they’re looking for. Try and be flexible with locations and open minded about the types of job you could try – seize any opportunity you can to get out of your comfort zone!

My favourite pladis product is Double Chocolate Nibbles.
