How do I apply for a position?

You can apply for a role by searching on our current job opportunities. It’s easy to navigate: you can search by keyword, location or job. Once you’ve found a position you’re interested in, click on the job title, apply online and follow the instructions.

Will I receive a response to my job application?

You’ll receive an automated acknowledgement email to your application. Our Talent Team will review your application and get in touch with you by email or telephone within two weeks. Because of the high volume of applications we receive, there may be a delay in contacting you, but please be assured we’re reviewing your application and will be in touch as soon as possible. All unsuccessful candidates will also receive an email updating them on their application.

Can I apply for more than one job?

Do you accept applications from non - EU residents for positions in your UK-based functions?

We have a legal requirement to ensure that all prospective candidates being considered for employment legally own the identity they have applied with and are entitled to work in the UK. The following groups can be employed in the UK without restrictions:

  • British Citizens
  • Nationals from EEA countries and Switzerland
  • Commonwealth citizens with the right of abode
  • Nationals from the Channel Islands, Ireland or the Isle of Man
  • A passport or travel document endorsed to show that the person is exempt from immigration control or a letter issued by the Home Office confirming that the person named has such status (IND stamp/entry clearance certificate).

How can I prepare for my interview?

We are passionate about our brands, our heritage and our ambitious growth plans. Consider how you would demonstrate your enthusiasm and how you could contribute to the success of our business in your interview.

We review all candidates against our Winning Traits & Behaviours. You’ll be asked to provide examples of how you’ve demonstrated these in previous roles. When answering these questions always try to talk about a specific situation. Start by describing the task you needed to complete, explain the action you took step by step, and then tell us the result or outcome of that situation.

What should I expect in my interview?

You will be invited to meet the hiring manager. Please note you’ll be required to bring your Eligibility to Work documentation; this may include a valid visa. For further details, please speak to our Talent Team. 

What happens after the interview?

Whether you’re successful or not, you will receive honest feedback as quickly as possible from a member of the Talent Team.

Will I be expected to provide referees or to undergo any background checks?

We will verify the following five elements for ALL candidates being offered employment with pladis:

  • Candidate’s identity
  • Candidate’s right to work in the UK
  • Candidate’s address
  • Reference checks – confirmation of the candidate’s employment/ training history for a minimum of three consecutive years
  • Pre-employment health screening which will include a drugs screen.

For certain positions we will require the following checks:

  • Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS): for employees taking up positions in finance, occupational health and wellbeing, group legal and all those employed into senior positions.
  • Proof of residence: for employees taking up positions in occupational health and wellbeing, finance and some director level positions (function dependent).
  • Professional qualification/memberships checks: for employees taking up positions in occupational health and wellbeing, finance, group legal and some director level positions (function dependent).

Do you accept applications from employment agencies?

The Talent Team is made up of industry specialist recruiters who source candidates directly from the marketplace through a variety of inhouse recruitment strategies.

We do not accept resumés through an agency for any vacancy unless they are on our PSL. We kindly ask that agencies do not contact our hiring managers directly.
