Site Services Manager

Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager the Site Services Manager will provide full Services support to the Engineering Team. You will be tasked with the maintenance, reactive breakdowns, fault finding and continuously improving plant performance, quality and safety across site.

Key accountability’s & deliverables:

  • To have overall responsibility for the efficient operation of the utilities and site services equipment on site ensuring efficient use of energy and resources so as to meet legal obligations and site KPI targets
  • Manage site contracts for services ensuring high quality service and competitive budget management
  • Liaise with and manage contractors, including External Contract management and audits
  • Ensure the site is audit ready throughout the year and highlight any concerns immediately
  • Lead Site Energy Sustainability and Site Energy Management on and off site
  • Reduce energy costs & develop energy monitoring systems
  • Owner of site risk assessment and insurance actions
  • Airsweb / PTW Super User
  • Working with AEM’s to drive the engineering function to a world class level
  • Site Duty holder for Asbestos, Gas Safety, Legionella, LOLER, Pressure Systems and LEV
  • Ensure that your team respond in a timely manner to plant breakdowns and planned maintenance, driving “Right First Time” behaviours
  • Provide a link of information between site services role and the rest of the factory


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Ability to clearly understand engineering drawings, symbols and notation
  • Strong numeric and literacy skills
  • Excellent problem solving, data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Demonstrate a sound capability of technical understanding of key production plant in both process and wrapping area
  • Knowledge of SAP PM together with good PC skills
  • Experience of working within a Manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience working in Engineering Site Services Role

Qualifications required:

  • Formal engineering qualification to at least a HNC/HND standard
  • Experience of carrying out a similar role within a Manufacturing, Production or Automated environment Desirable
