Privacy Policy – UK&I Local Schedule

1.  Introduction

This Local Schedule describes variations in the pladis Recruitment Privacy Notice which apply to recruitment activities for pladis companies in the UK and Ireland.It should be read in addition to the pladis Recruitment Privacy notice.

2.  What personal data we use

2.1  Personal data we collect from other sources

In addition to personal data collection described in the Privacy Notice, categories of personal data that we may collect about you from other sources for the purpose of processing your employment application can include:

  • background check data from employment screening agencies or publicly available registers (as allowed by law)
  • evidence of membership or association with professional or regulatory bodies
  • publicly available professional profiles on websites or social media (e.g. LinkedIn).

2.2  Special categories of personal data

Special  categories  of  personal  data  which  may  be  processed during your  application  for employment include:

  • information about race, ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation or gender identity which we process to provide a safe and inclusive environment for you and for equality and diversity monitoring purposes
  • health or disability information which we process to provide occupational health support and  administer  health,  insurance  and  other  benefits,  and  if  applicable  to  perform  drug screening tests for security and safety purposes.

We  do  not  seek  to  collect  details  of  trades  union  memberships,  but  we  may  receive  such  data from time to time, for example to administer to meetings or in the course of employee relations.

Additionally,  we  process  criminal  background  check  information  for  security,  safety  and  fraud prevention purposes.

3. How we use personal data

We may use personal data about you to send you information about other positions within the pladis group of companies which may be of interest to you.

3.1  Sharing personal data

We  may  share  personal  data  with  our  service  providers  and  business  partners  that  perform business operations for us. Key service providers include:

  • Hudson  /  Morgan  Philips  Group  (  Randstad  ( are some of a number of independent recruiters acting on our behalf or from whom we receive candidate details
  • Cohort Software ( occupational health screening
  • Vero Screening ( pre-employment screening and checks
  • SHL Group ( psychometric/capability testing
  • Workday ( recruitment and employment management systems.

We  are  committed  to  working  with  you  to  obtain  a  fair  resolution  of  any  complaint  or  concern about personal data processing.
